ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ธันยพร สุนทรธรรม ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันอาณาบริเวณศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ เข้าร่วมงานเฉลิมฉลองวันสถาปนาสาธารณรัฐตุรกี ครบรอบ 103 ปี ณ โรงแรมโฟร์ซีซันส์ กรุงเทพฯ ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเพื่อรำลึกถึงการก่อตั้งสาธารณรัฐตุรกีและกระชับความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐตุรกี
ภายในงานมีการเน้นย้ำถึงความมุ่งมั่นของทั้งสองประเทศในการยกระดับความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีสู่การเป็น “หุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์” ภายในปี 2571 โดยให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาความร่วมมือในหลากหลายมิติ ทั้งด้านความมั่นคง การป้องกันประเทศ เศรษฐกิจ การท่องเที่ยว และการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรม
นางจูลีเด คายือฮัน เอกอัครราชทูตตุรกีประจำประเทศไทย กล่าวว่า ไทยและตุรกีมีเป้าหมายร่วมกันในการยกระดับความสัมพันธ์สู่หุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์ ผ่านการพัฒนากรอบความร่วมมือใหม่ การผลักดันข้อตกลงระหว่างกัน การส่งเสริมการเยือนระดับสูง รวมถึงการขยายความร่วมมือด้านวัฒนธรรมและการท่องเที่ยวให้ใกล้ชิดยิ่งขึ้น
ทั้งนี้ ไทยและตุรกีมีความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตที่ยาวนานกว่า 70 ปี โดยต่างมีบทบาทสำคัญในภูมิภาคของตน ไทยในฐานะศูนย์กลางของเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ และตุรกีในฐานะจุดเชื่อมโยงระหว่างยุโรปกับเอเชีย การเฉลิมฉลองในครั้งนี้จึงสะท้อนถึงความตั้งใจร่วมกันในการสานต่อมิตรภาพอันยาวนาน พร้อมขยายความร่วมมือเพื่อส่งเสริมสันติภาพ เสถียรภาพ และความเจริญรุ่งเรืองร่วมกันในอนาคต.

Assistant Professor Dr. Thanyaporn Soonthornthum, Director of the Thammasat Institute of Area Studies, Thammasat University, attended the celebration of the 103rd Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. The event commemorated the founding of the Republic and highlighted the enduring friendship and cooperation between Thailand and Türkiye.
The celebration underscored both countries’ commitment to elevating bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership by 2028, with a focus on strengthening cooperation in defense and security, economic development, tourism, and cultural exchange.
H.E. Ms. Julide Kayıhan, Ambassador of Türkiye to Thailand, reaffirmed the shared ambition of Thailand and Türkiye to deepen their partnership through the development of new cooperation frameworks, the advancement of bilateral agreements, enhanced high-level exchanges, and expanded collaboration in cultural and tourism sectors.
Thailand and Türkiye have enjoyed more than seven decades of diplomatic relations. As key regional actors, Thailand serves as a gateway to Southeast Asia, while Türkiye plays a vital role as a bridge between Europe and Asia. The celebration reflected the mutual commitment of both nations to further strengthen their longstanding friendship and promote peace, stability, and shared prosperity.
