สถาบันอาณาบริเวณศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ นำโดย ศาสตราจารย์พิเศษ ดร.เอนก เหล่าธรรมทัศน์ อดีตรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม พร้อมด้วย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ธันยพร สุนทรธรรม ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันอาณาบริเวณศึกษา และ Asst. Prof. Shweta Sinha กรรมการศูนย์อินเดียศึกษา เข้าพบ H.E. Mr. Puneet Agrawal เอกอัครราชทูตอินเดียประจำประเทศไทย
ในการหารือ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้ย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการสานต่อความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์กับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตอินเดีย ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุนจากท่านอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์มาอย่างต่อเนื่อง พร้อมทั้งเห็นพ้องที่จะขยายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการผ่านการสนับสนุนทุนวิจัยด้านอินเดียศึกษา การเชื่อมโยงเครือข่ายนักวิจัยไทย–อินเดีย การเชิญผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจากทั้งสองประเทศร่วมพัฒนางานวิชาการ ตลอดจนการสนับสนุนกิจกรรมสำหรับนักศึกษา การบรรยายพิเศษ และการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ในวงสนทนาขนาดเล็ก เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจอันดีและความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและอินเดียให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น

Thammasat Institute of Area Studies was honored to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Puneet Agrawal, Ambassador of India to Thailand. The delegation was led by Professor Dr. Anek Laothamatas Former Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, together with Asst.Prof.Thanyaporn Soontornthum , Director of the Thammasat Institute of Area Studies, and Asst. Prof. Shweta Sinha, Committee Member of the India Studies Centre.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong and enduring partnership between Thammasat University and the Embassy of India, with the continued support of the University President. Both sides expressed their shared commitment to strengthening academic cooperation through research grants in India Studies, fostering collaborative research networks between Thailand and India, engaging distinguished scholars from both countries, and supporting student activities, academic lectures, and small-group knowledge exchanges to further deepen mutual understanding and strengthen Thailand–India relations.
