Our research activities encompass a wide range of interests. Research at Thammasat Institute of Area Studies spans beyond our five area studies centres and is interdisciplinary & multidisciplinary in nature.

TIARA has a wide range of expertise for collaborative and contract research. On top of that, we have strong records of hands on research & research on policies and practices. Through engaging in multi-disciplinary learning and research, our areas of expertise include

  2. Area Studies: APEC member countries, ASEAN, Australia and New Zealand, India, Russia & CIS states
  3. International Trade Negotiation and International Trade Law
  4. Competition Policy and Competition Law
  5. Telecommunication and ICT Policy
  6. Intellectual Property

With our research knowledge of the past and present, TIARA will support growth in economic and political for current and future generations.

VISITING LECTURER AND VISITING SCHOLAR OPPORTUNITIES

TIARA aims to foster international collaboration through Visiting Lecturer, Visiting Scholar & Visiting Fellowship scheme. Through these means, TIARA wants to develop network research and academic network among international universities.

VISITING FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Visiting fellowships at TIARA are non-stipendiary. We invite inquiries and applications from scholars who wish to spend time at Thammasat Institute of Area Studies at Thammasat University for a purpose of conducting research. Scholars with research proposals with new research funding initiative that may lead to international research collaboration with research staff at TIARA are welcome to apply.
