International Seminar on "Australia - Thailand Relations in a Changing Region"

9 December 2019, Sapphire 107 at the Impact Forum, Impact Muang Thong Thani

 

The Australian Studies Centre, Thammasat Institute of Area Studies (TIARA) cooperate with The Australian National University and Australian Embassy to organise an international seminar on “Australia - Thailand Relations in a Changing Region" at Sapphire 107, the Impact Forum, Impact Muang Thong Thani on 9 December 2019.

In this seminar, it was a great honour and pleasure that Assoc. Prof. Soranit Siltharm, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and H.E. Mr Allan McKinnon PSM, Australian Ambassador to Thailand gave opening remarks. The seminar unfolded different issues such as Thailand relations in the context of Changing Great Power Dynamics, Thailand Relations and Regional Economic Dynamics, and Culture and Educational Links presented by well-known researchers and Australian embassy officers.

The event was well received with more than 60 attendances from governmental organisations, corporate groups and educational institutions.
