TASC is a study center for research and policy recommendations on APEC issues in Thailand. It was established in October 1996. It is a part of an international network of APEC Study Centers throughout the Asia Pacific known as the ASC Consortium. The network meets annually through consortium meetings to raise awareness of the challenges facing APEC economies and the region.

To be a center of excellence for institutional capacity building in policy areas related to trade, investment and other APEC issues

• Participating in an APEC Studies Centers Consortium (ASCC) annual conference which provides an opportunity for academics and scholars from around the region to discuss their research and identify areas for collaboration
• Joint research & research works on international trade, trade liberalization, industrialization policies, international trade negotiation and international trade law
• Organizing a Panel on APEC session at Thammasat Annual Academics and Postgraduate International Conference (TUCAPS)
• Hosting Public Seminars & Public Lectures relevant to international trade and international collaboration
• Training & Reaching Out program
